Lesson 5 — Storyboard & Shot List

LESSON 5 • BUILD YOUR FIRST SHORT FILM

Storyboard & Shot List

Break every scene into deliberate shots before you animate anything.

Build it

Choose wide, medium, close-up, over-the-shoulder, insert, and movement shots. Give each shot a purpose, estimated duration, camera angle, subject action, and dialogue or sound cue.

STORYBOARD CHECKPOINT

Turn scenes into visual panels.

Each shot now becomes its own storyboard panel with framing, action, dialogue, and timing notes. This is the production map for Lesson 6.
