Lesson 6 — Animate the Scene

MOTION • PERFORMANCE • CAMERA

Turn your character into a performance.

You already know who the character is and how they sound. Now direct what they do: movement, expression, camera behavior, and timing.

Open Motion Studio →

GUIDED MOTION STUDIO

Direct one shot at a time.

🏃

1. Movement

Describe one clear action: walk forward, turn, point, sit, run, or reach for an object.

🙂

2. Expression

Direct the face and body language: curious, excited, worried, confident, surprised.

🎥

3. Camera

Choose framing and motion: close-up, medium shot, wide shot, slow push-in, pan, or locked camera.

⏱️

4. Timing

Keep clips focused. Decide what happens first, what changes, and how the shot ends.

SHOT BUILDER

Build the animation prompt

Character: use your saved character blueprint
Action: one main movement
Emotion: visible expression/body language
Camera: framing + movement
Duration: short, controlled shot
EXAMPLE

Scene direction

Alex stands in a futuristic studio and turns toward camera with an excited smile. He raises one hand as he begins speaking. Medium shot, subtle cinematic push-in, natural body motion, consistent face and clothing, polished 3D animation, approximately five seconds.

MovieCache rule: Don’t ask the model to do ten things in one clip. One strong action per shot gives you more control and usually better consistency.
STORYBOARD CHECKPOINT

Your shots move. Record the motion plan.

Add movement, expression, camera motion, and timing to each storyboard panel so every animated shot has a clear production target.
